ACT I
The story begins with dad coming home from work and seeing how the household bills are mounting but his paycheck doesn’t seem to be keeping up with the rate of inflation. He is contemplating selling the forest next to their home that has been in their family for generations to a wealthy land developer named Mr. Big Bux. His decision is causing him much grief, but his family only wants to spend more money and waste more energy.

ACT II
Picks up in the forest with Dewey Raven coming to antagonize Hopper Squirrel and some of the other animals in the forest for no apparent reason and just because,, He can. Hopper understands that some people have to try to appear bigger than they are so Hopper just plays along until he gets the bad news about losing his home from a little birdie

The moment of truth arrives as it is the next day, and Mr. Big Bux is on his way to deliver the check to the Doedumm’s and collect the land deed to start building shopping malls and restaurants and the family is having mixed feelings about all of it.
